What is NIAP Certification?

The National Information Assurance Partnership (NIAP) is a United States government initiative to meet the security testing needs of both information technology consumers and producers that is operated by the National Security Agency (NSA), and was originally a joint effort between NSA and the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST).

The long-term goal of NIAP is to help increase the level of trust consumers have in their information systems and networks through the use of cost-effective security testing, evaluation, and validation programs. The principal objective of the NIAP Validation Body is to ensure the provision of competent IT security evaluation and validation services for both government and industry.

WipeDrive

Our flagship product, WipeDrive allows government and enterprise users to securely erase data from systems either taken out of service or to be transferred to other employees so that no data can be recovered by anyone, period. This product is the only disk wiping product that has passed the rigorous testing of the US Armed Forces and is the only such product on their Approved Product List. It is also the only disk wiping software product that has been accepted by NIAP for evaluation and it meets all US and international standards for security.

Now, instead of using Degaussing, crushing or other expensive methods that require the drives to be scrapped, the government entity or enterprise can either reuse, sell or donate the computers or drives with a piece of mind that their data is safe.

MediaWiper

MediaWiper uses WipeDrive technology to perform the same function as WipeDrive on USB drives, flash memory and other removable media. These small portable devices often present a greater security challenge than computers and hard drives because of their size and portability.

Data from "erased" portable storage devices can be easily recovered by readily available software applications such as WhiteCanyon's Recover My Files. Use of MediaWiper absolutely prevents recovery of any data that was on the portable storage device.

SecureClean

SecureClean takes WipeDrive technology to its next logical step, which is protecting data, such as empty trash, deleted e-mails, deleted Internet history or any item marked for deletion by Windows on portable and desktop computers and servers that the user has "erased" from unauthorized recovery.

SecureClean actively eliminates any traces of these files while the computer or server is in service. Without SecureClean, this data can be easily recovered using readily available software such as WhiteCanyon's Recover My Files.
